Since I started this in January, it’s not only become a labor of love, it’s also made me realize how I plan to enhance my career. I want to blog for the rest of my life.
But I want to explain a little bit about how the Vote08 blog is executed, & why crappy, ‘depth-free’ posts like this one from yesterday often happen.
..& not a moment too soon!
Thanks for indulging us in the longest break this blog will take between now & election day. I heard a commentator say this morning “it’s been a quiet week in the presidential campaign” & that is exactly what I had hoped for. But we’re about to dive head first into some major news, as the conventions begin next week, & Obama could announce his vice presidential pick in a matter of hours from now. We will be all over that news on this blog, so I hope you return throughout the day.

I have to take some vacation days some time this year. Hard to do with all that’s happening in this great, great presidential contest, but I lose the days if I don’t take ‘em.
The posts at the ol’ will be a little lighter in the coming days through next week; don’t worry - we’re keeping on top of all the latest developments & promise to update you any time any big news (as in VP announcements) breaks.
I’ve left plenty for you to peruse & comment on, & I’ll be checking & posting your feedback daily.
..’til then, we’re recharging before the conventions.. & we promise, it’s the last vacation we’ll take until the election!
