McCAIN’S TR FIXATION

I confess - next to Lincoln & Truman, Teddy Roosevelt is tops in my book. He’s considered the man responsible for making the presidency what it is today.
& one of my favorite things about McCain is that he wants to use TR’s playbook in many ways.
But not everyone thinks that’s a good idea.
The National Review Online’s Michael Knox Berean has advice for McCain - that Roosevelt’s not the best candidate to emulate.

Actually, you should compair BHO with William Jennings Bryan, 19th and early 20th Century politician. Both were losing presidential candidates and populists.
Probably a better compairison with TR would be RR, as both were for strong, cast-iron American ideals and American progress.
