AT LEAST ONE GOP AD FINALLY GETS IT

Here’s a follow up to this post about the loss of three congressional races by the Republicans (which includes Newt Gingrich’s dire warning) and this post highlighting a Congressman in Missouri who didn’t get the memo.
Regardless which side you’re on, the above ad is one that finally recognizes what types of ads will be effective in a year that is skewed heavily against GOP congressional candidates. The ad goes after specific issues & votes that the Democrat, Udall, has on the record. No where at all in the ad do you see any attempt to tie Udall to any national Democratic figures (Pelosi, Obama, etc.).
In 2008, as we’ve said before, voters will react & respond positively to results-based debate in this campaign.. & negatively to any attempt to “brand” a politician as a “liberal” or tied to national figures.
