“Hey there, independents & Democrats who might vote for me. John McCain here. I realize that many of you may view those promoting our side as bitter partisans who never missed a chance in the last seven years to portray Democrats in the worst possible light — for instance, remember current Georgia Senator Saxby Chambliss tying Georgia Senate incumbent Max Cleland to Osama bin Laden in those 2002 ads? Anyway, those days are gone. This time around we’re not going to do our utmost to paint those lily-livered peacenik blame-America-firsters in the Democrat party for the traitors they are. At least, not anywhere where it might get noticed. I’ll play nice. Honest.”
Seriously, if both sides can keep the frame of mind spelled out in this ad.. I’ll be wondering what mythical country I’ve suddenly found myself in. A man can dream, I suppose.
AND — almost my entire reason for writing this post — check very closely the text at the bottom of the screen at the end of the ad for a MAJOR typo!
