Well, that was quick.
After a Barack Obama ad aired on NewsChannel 9 all last week, NewsChannel 9 National Sales Director Mike Hood confirms to Vote08 that the campaign has pulled all of its Tennessee advertising, as of January 21st. The campaign will air ads on cable news stations in this market such as CNN or MSNBC.
Why? Unclear, but one guess is their internal poll numbers are close the numbers reflected in a new statewide voter poll by WSMV.
Hood says no Republican candidates have bought any airtime for NewsChannel 9. And he says the Edwards campaign has expressed interest but not dropped any dollars.
So right now Hillary Clinton stands alone among candidates in NewsChannel9’s commercial breaks.
They (typically, but not always) air during Good Morning Chattanooga, NewsChannel 9 Midday, NewsChannel 9 at 5, 5:30 & 6, somewhere near Jeopardy! at 7:30 & on NewsChannel 9 at 11.
You can see the ad we ran for Obama here and the ad Clinton is currently running here.
